I first met Laurel 31 years ago when I brought my dangerous thoroughbred Jessie, to her to sell. When I returned several days later, my dangerous mare was following her around like a golden retriever. What seemed like magic then, I now know was her intuitive understanding of how a horse thinks, her instincts and the skills of true horsemanship passed down from generations of horsemen and women in her family. She was the first person Jessie trusted and we achieved success like I could not have imagined. 15 years ago she found my perfect paint companion Rowdy, on whom I have competed successfully in every discipline we have attempted. 6 years ago, I purchased an 11 month old Oldenburg Money. She and Joanne started him in-hand, transitioning to ground work, instilling in him confidence and manners which led to my triumph of backing and starting my own 17 + hand boy. I am forever grateful to her for her knowledge and wisdom which she weaved in with life lessons that has molded me to be the person I am today. I trust her instincts and judgement without hesitation, this is who you want caring for your horse.

Laurel was my trainer for about six years before I left for college in Fla, and then during summer breaks until I moved to Fla permanently. During that time she helped me train my 17 Apendix "Josh". I found her through a recommendation of my mother's friend. I am so blessed I did as she helped me turn my very powerful, athletic and a touch crazy 5 yr old horse into a winning hunter and jumper! To this day I consider her a friend and mentor. I still call her for advice even though I've had my own barn going on 9 years and been training horses over 20 years! She is incredibly knowledgeable and an excellent trainer! Amazing facility too! wow!

Laurel taught me absolutely everything I know about horses (and she knows more about horses than some of the vets I have met). I was 13 when I met her and she changed my life. Laurel is the most brilliant trainer I know and, for years, I spent every afternoon at her amazing barn with some of the most incredible horses on the planet. I can't wait to see the new farm!!
For anyone who is looking for a new trainer or a place to board, Laurel is honest, responsible, meticulous and kind. Her work ethic is unparalleled.
